ALUMINUM DECKING JOISTS

Compared to the wooden underconstruction, the aluminum bottom structure offers complete stability in all conditions. The aluminum profiles are straight and dimensionally stable. There are no cracks, no twisting, no swelling and no shrinkage - ie no changes in the wood due to weather conditions. Thanks to the special shape, bolt slippage is prevented and this type of underconstruction allows invisible and visible joints. The method of connection depends on the type of tree. Some exotic woods with high density can only be laid with a visible connection, ie using screws from above. If you use aluminum profiles for your decking, be sure to work with screws that are specifically designed for aluminum. We recommend using EUROTEC self-drilling screws.

Properties/Advantages of Aluminum Decking Joists

  • Form-stable, always straight, load-bearing, torsion-free
  • Resistant to weather, UV exposure, insects and rot
  • The special shape of the profiles reduces the risk of fastening screws shearing off as a result of swelling and shrinking movements of the deck boards
  • Supporting Constructive Timber Protection
